A couple of days ago we went for ecological monitoring to The Pan Point. Probably, it’s our last visitation here, because just few days left to go.
The creabeater seals still visit us. But the last visit reminded us of a funny situation that took place a year ago.
Marta celebrated her birthday on Friday and there were invited our colleagues from the Brazilian Ferraz Station. Unfortunately, for the last time.
Finally, our weather window has shown up and we were able to realize one of the area ideas, as it was created in our minds just right after our arrival here – Alpine skiing from “Urbanek”.
For about several weeks visiting our black and white neighbors became more and more frequent, until another groups of penguins began to settle the penguins’ colony, abandoned in February and March.
There has been no ice at Admiralty Bay since one month but from time to time the creabeater seals vitis us. Even yesterday we saw a drifting iceberg on which a few dozen of these adorable seals rested.
