Month: September 2016
A year away from home
On September 24th has passed exactly a year since our departure from Gdynia on the “Polar Pioneer” ship. Our next polar adventure began – this time in the southern hemisphere.

“Polar Pioneer” sailing to the south
Well, this moment had to come someday – on 15 th September, at night the Polar Pioneer sailed out from the Harbour in Gdynia. It should reach South the Shetland Islands at the end of October.
Fishing boat “Elephant seal”
“Elephant seal” is an old fishing boat, which is located at “Point One”. It isn’t currently used because of its technical condition, but it has had many years of glory.
Icebergs
Icebergs flow into the Admiralty Bay from time to time and I have to tell their view is never enough for us. Especially, when everyone is in different shape, size, colour, and it presents itself so beautifuly according to weather conditions.
