Stop at the Falkland Islands
In the afternoon, on 29th october The George Island Bay was left far away, and on the 1st november we were in Stanley, the capital of The Falkland Islands – British islands next to The South America.
Lions Rump unloading
The history made its own circle and again, we landed at Lions Rump. But, of course, it wouldn’t be that unforgiving if we didn’t meet Ania, who is going to work there this season and with whom we spent the ship cruise over one year ago.
Something ends
We have been in Kraków since Monday and we try to understand the new reality. But that story still lasts and the narration demands itself the new continuing – just several days ago we were packing the last little things into bags, backpacks and barrels. And then? And then it all began.
Packing
Well, to be honest we have 120 litres barrels after sauerkraut, two 90 litres backpacks and two smaller ones, 35 litres. Yes, we are ready to go and The Polar Pioneer is about to come soon.
What are we missing?
Polar Pioneer sailed out from Mar Del Plata in Argentina yesterday so everyday it seems to be closer to South Shetland Islands. The expedition is going to the end and our conversations are filled with the thoughts what we miss and what we lack.
